Dziedzic Gets Nod From Minneapolis Building Trades

(Minneapolis, Minn) – Noting her strong commitment to job creation and infrastructure development, the Minneapolis Building and Construction Trades Council announces its endorsement of Kari Dziedzic for Minnesota Senate District 59 to fill the Northeast Minneapolis seat vacated by Sen. Larry Pogemiller.

“We are excited to get behind Kari Dziedzic’s campaign for Senate, because she has a track record of results on job creation and infrastructure development,” said Dan McConnell, Business Manager of the Minneapolis Building and Construction Trades Council. “Kari’s background and experience will be important in the Minnesota Senate because she knows how to work with all sides to get results. We need this now more than ever to get Minnesota’s economy back on track.”

“I’m grateful for the support of the building trades, who have seen some difficult times in the construction industry because of the economy,” Dziedzic said. “I will continue my work supporting efforts to create more jobs by promoting infrastructure improvements and development throughout our community.”

The Minneapolis Building and Construction Trades Council is the umbrella organization for union construction crafts. They seek to ensure state-of-the-art training programs, livable wages, and safe working conditions for men and women in the construction industry. Their membership includes around 17,000 workers in Anoka, Carver, Hennepin, Isanti, Kanabec, McLeod, Mille Laces, Scott, Sibley and Wright Counties, as well as eastern portions of Sherburne and the western half of Dakota Counties.
